The Associate Tax Calculator (the Calculator) is provided on the Samera website by Samera Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. 4563912), 136 High Street, Esher, KT10 9QJ. (Samera, we, us).

By ticking “I agree” when you create your account, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

You must be 18 or over and resident in the UK. Keep your details accurate and up to date.

Your account is personal to you. Keep your login secure; you are responsible for all activity on it. Tell us at dentalassociate@samera.co.uk if you suspect misuse.

The Calculator lets you record income from all your practices and other sources (employment, property, savings, dividends), log allowable expenses, store documents, and see an estimated year-end tax bill and monthly set-aside.

The figures produced are estimates based on the data entered into the tool and do not guarantee accuracy. Please check with a Samera tax expert before relying on them.

The Calculator is not tax, financial or legal advice, and using it does not make you a client of Samera. Some items, such as student loan repayments, are not calculated.

You remain solely responsible for your tax affairs, including filing your return and paying HMRC on time.

The Calculator is currently free. We will give you 30 days' notice before introducing any fee.

We may change, suspend or withdraw the Calculator, or any feature, at any time.

You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you enter or upload, and for deciding which expenses are allowable.

Only upload documents you have the right to share, and keep your own records as HMRC requires.

Do not use the Calculator unlawfully, upload harmful code, try to access other users' data, or copy, scrape or resell it.

You own your data. We use it only to run the Calculator, to contact you as set out in 5.2, and in anonymised form to improve our services. We never sell it. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Where you consent at sign-up, Samera may contact you by email or phone about your account, tax deadlines and Samera's tax services. You can withdraw consent at any time.

If you click to connect with a Samera tax expert, you agree we may share your details and Calculator data with them. Any advice is given under a separate engagement letter.

Coming soonIf a practice you work at uses Clever Pay and you link it, your payslips may appear in your Documents automatically.

We own the Calculator and all its intellectual property. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use it.

The Calculator is provided free and “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Samera accepts no liability of any kind, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Calculator. This includes any tax, interest or penalties, and any direct, indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close it if you breach these terms, or for legal or security reasons. Download anything you want to keep first. We delete your data within 7 days of closure unless the law requires us to keep it.

We may update these terms and will notify you of significant changes. Continuing to use the Calculator means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
